Abstract

Every child will go through each stage of development in their life, so that to achieve optimal development, appropriate stimulation is needed in accordance with the stage of his age. Most parents assume the child will be able to pass through the stages of development by theirself. The problem is the low understanding of the role of parents in stimulating early childhood development that can optimize growth and development. For that, the solution that can be given is assistance to parents to understand each stage of their child's development and how to stimulate it. So that the target output is that there is active communication between teachers and people who know about early childhood development through media that has been provided by the school, namely KKA (Child Development Card). The Implementation method is to assess early childhood development at Pos PAUD Terpadu Tunas Harapan, Pagesangan Surabaya, as well as provide counseling about the stages of development and how to stimulate early childhood and continue with the introduction of various educational games. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest followed by 30 respondents and after counseling and assisting in the introduction of ways to stimulate early childhood with educational toys, it was stated that the knowledge and ability of respondents increased. The conclusion is that assistance is needed to parents regarding the stimulation of children's growth and development so that parents can participate and improve children's intelligence.
