Abstract

Community service activity is done to increase knowledge and understanding about social media usage as
business event to young man and owner of SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) in Murtajih Village,
Pademawu Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency. The method used is to collect the participants and then given
the socialization about the use of the internet, especially social media as a business event. Socialization
using the method of watching videos, lectures and discussions. Knowledge level of respondent can be known
by social media ownership and before socialization given in the form of pretest. To know the increase of
knowledge is done by giving post-test after socialization done. After comparing the results of pre-test and
post-test, it can be seen if there is an increase in knowledge about social media and some participants
already have a social media account that makes it easier in the process of understanding the material.
