Pemanfaatan Bumbu Dapur Sebagai Pengendalian Hipertensi di Desa Keboguyang Kecamatan Jabon Kabupaten Sidoarjo

Hypertension is a common health problem in several countries and is the number most cause of death worldwide every year. Smoking, obesity, less consumption of vegetables and fruit, salt, lack of physical activity, excessive alcohol consumption, and stress make trigger hypertension. In the case of Keboguyang village, people tend to be have at a high risk of hypertension is quite high. This problem makes the community unable to work productively. As one solution to reduce the problems of hypertension can be done with health education to the community.
The aim purpose of this community service activity is to provide information and education through health education about controlling blood pressure by using herbs. Keboguyang is a village in the Jabon sub-district of the Sidoarjo whose location is very fertile for planting spices. The utilization of kitchen ingredients is assumed to have side effects that are a much lower level compared to drugs from chemicals.
The method used was counseling and interactive question and answer about hypertension and blood pressure checks in the community. The result of this community service is that people's knowledge about hypertension has increased so that the incidence of hypertension has decreased and the quality of life of the community is more productive.
