Pemanfaatan Web Seminar (Webinar) sebagai Media Informasi Sertifikasi Halal Bagi Pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM)

The halal status of food product is an important thing that must be considered considering that most consumers in Indonesia are Muslim. . In accordance with UU No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantees, the government requires businesses to have halal certification on the products. . However, there are still many entrepreneurs who do not understand the importance of having halal certification and how to apply a halal guarantee system. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide information to UMKM. The method used is a web seminar (webinar) which is divided into two sessions, namely the presentation of material and questions and answers. The webinar was held twice with 4 presenters, followed by 416 people consisting of various professions, ranging from students, lecturers, government agencies and businesses engaged in food. The material presented were Development and Potential of the Halal Industry, Benefits of Halal Certification for Producers and Consumers, Halal Supply Chain in Modern Industry, and Introduction of Halal Assurance System and Halal Certification Procedures. At the end of the activity an evaluation of the webinar activity is carried out. As many as 100% of webinar participants were satisfied and had understood the material delivered by all presenters. Business actors who have an understanding of the halal guarantee system are expected to be able to support government programs related to halal certification obligations so that consumers feel calm using products that are guaranteed halal.
