Abstract

The processing of jamu gendong has not met the hygiene standards, the partners are not applying good sanitation and hygiene standards. The packaging used at this time is only packaged in used plastic bottles and wrappers of conventional herbal medicine so that it is less attractive and cannot be competitive. The lifespan of liquid herbal products is also limited. Sales are made as is and are only sold around or in the market waiting for customers to come. In fact, her business has the prospect of being developed because the demand for jamu gendong has increased every year, especially for the domestic market. For Ms. Paini as a partner, the assistance provided is training in the processing of carrying herbal medicine with good sanitation and hygiene. The stages of implementing PKM activities are as follows: (a) Program preparation, observation of partner data collection, (b) Surveying and planning, (c) Training on processing of carrying herbs with good sanitation and hygiene. The result achieved through this community service program is the increased quality of herbal medicine, the taste and aroma is fresher and more durable.
