Abstract

Teacher professional problems have become a problem among elementary school teachers. The main problem is the low motivation and understanding of teachers about the systematic preparation of CAR proposals, and the low interest of teachers in publishing articles in national journals. These problems are the background of training and service activities with the following specific objectives: (1) providing understanding to teachers about teacher professional development through writing IT-based scientific papers; (2) providing training and mentoring to teachers of SD Negeri Dukuhan Kerten Number 58, Laweyan District, Surakarta City in preparing PTK reports and scientific articles; and (3) improve the skills of elementary school teachers in IT-based scientific work. The method used is training and mentoring using Google Classroom and Google Meet. This activity was attended by 15 teachers. At the end of the program activities, the following results were obtained: (1) the implementation of training and mentoring was quite effective and efficient with a quantity of four meetings; (2) available 10 PTK reports and 10 scientific articles made by elementary school teachers in accordance with the guidance and direction of the companion team; and (3) the teacher is sufficiently capable of applying the PTK proposal writing systematics and compiling a complete and good report.
